Our trained server management professionals monitor and maintain your hosting systems, ensuring the highest level of security and trouble free site access for your clients. The development of out infrastructure over the last decade ensures redundancy and security at all levels of data storage and access.

When it comes to security we leave nothing to chance. Our servers are scanned regularly by a third party to ensure PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance. Even the most basic of web sites is located behind 2 levels of firewall security, with some servers implementing data encryption for the highest level of protection.

Network throughput and site bandwidth is guaranteed by 5 major backbone upstream providers.  This enables access to 2 different Internet Exchanges (Ottawa - OTTIX and Toronto - TORIX). Connectivity is supported from 100 Mbps to 1,000 Mbps, for a combined aggregate backbone bandwidth of over 3,800 Mbps (3.8 Gbps).

Our servers are housed on a multi-homed Internet connection. This technology ensures that if one upstream provider is having issues, there are 4 others that can be utilized, thus ensuring the highest capacity and highest level of data throughput (data transfer speed).

Currently Tomahawk hosts over 450 domains. Some larger scale hosting includes Carleton University, Trent University, Durham College, Lakehead University, Algonquin College and the Art Gallery of Ontario. In the local area, we host 5 different golf courses, over 20 different e-commerce sites and hundreds of other more general web sites.

Email hosting covers over 1,200 accounts and in excess of 30,000 delivered emails each day. First level spam filtering stops in excess of 60,000 spam messages each day (with second level stopping or marking an additional 5,000 each day).

 

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Our search engine optimization consultants work with our clients to provide a knowledge based approach to Search Engine Optimization. Our view on this is to enable the client to be able to understand what helps with their web site ranking at the search engines.

Our CMS tools allow clients to fine tune their own web sites by providing them a level of access that is intuitive and easy for anyone to administer. SteelArrow CMS is a perfect compliment to the SEO services we provide and with no HTML or programming knowledge many clients have pushed their web sites to the top of the search engine ranks.

We generally work with clients to create a report of areas that need improvement.  Once delivered, the client can decide to implement the changes themselves or to engage a Tomahawk SEO professional to perform the work and deliver a fully optimized site.

We have developed searchable database systems, customized shipping modules, payment gateway modules, time tracking systems, incident recording and reporting framework, desktop software and even a search engine technology for web sites (code named HawkVision).
